Quinn Interactive redesigned the Atomz website, creating a look and feel that more clearly represented the company's status as a global industry leader. We created content management and information architecture strategies to upgrade the functionality and adaptability of this multi-layered website.
The Client
Atomz is the leading provider of online content management tools. Atomz award-winning products, including Atomz Publish and Search are in use in over 47,000 websites, including such sites as BellSouth Corp and O'Reilly & Associates. The company has formed strategic partnerships with Macromedia, Adobe Systems, and IBM. In March 2001, Media Metrix, the leading Internet and digital media audience measurement company, reported that Atomz had one of the 175 most visited sites in the world.
The Challenge
The Atomz website did not adequately represent the company's standing as an industry-leading website application provider. The company required a more sophisticated visual design. In addition, Atomz needed the site to be more responsive, more logically organized and more informative. It was also imperative that the newly designed site be fully scalable to allow for Atomz' continued growth.
The Solutions
Information Architecture
The Quinn Interactive team worked with the Atomz site's stakeholders to create new information architecture for this large and intricate site. The redesigned site was much more intuitive and clearly organized, enhancing usability and providing a more powerful visitor experience. In addition, the more streamlined site highlighted Atomz' marketing message much more effectively. We created the new organization to allow straightforward revisions and additions, making the Atomz site more scalable and efficient.
Visual Site Design
We created a new visual design for the Atomz site that presents the company in a sharper, cleaner and much more professional light. We incorporated the new design not just into the site itself, but also into Atomz' online applications, and created sub-branding concepts for individual areas of the site. The overall result was to reinforce company branding and provide a more unified user experience.
Content Management
Atomz demonstrated their confidence in the Quinn Interactive team by choosing us to use their own market-leading tool, Atomz Publish, to build a comprehensive content management system into their site. The content management strategies we created help the Atomz marketing staff update their site quickly and easily. They can now speedily add product and company information, case studies and more.
